A Stone Table

North Cornwall, Connecticut

This stone table is built on the side of a road in North Cornwall. Because of the cement work, and a similarly built bridge nearby, I believe it was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps. I would like someone to confirm this, or tell me who built it and why.
